The Air Jordan 1 Low 鈥淯NC鈥?is a college basketball-themed colorway of the low-top edition of Michael Jordan鈥檚 first signature shoe. An original color option on the Air Jordan 1 by Nithtke from 1985, the 鈥淯NC鈥?theme refers to the white-and-blue team uniform colors of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Michael鈥檚 alma mater. Where many 鈥淯NC鈥?inspired Air Jordans feature University Blue accents, the Jordan 1 Low seen here opts for Powder Blue detailing. The Powder Blue shade previously appeared on the original Air Jordan 9 鈥淧owder Blue鈥?in 1993 and on the Air Jordan 10 of the same nickname in 1994. On this shoe, white leather can be found on the perforated toe and mid-panel. Contrasting Powder Blue overlays appear on the forefoot, eyelets, collar, and heel. An Obsidian (dark blue) leather Swoosh with subtle Powder Blue contrast stitching graces both sides and a 鈥淲ings鈥?logo is embroidered onto the heel. A blue Jumpman appears on the dark blue nylon tongue and tonal 鈥?3鈥?branding can be found on the black lace overlay. UNC
